Cycling in the mountains
Everyone loves the idea of riding in the mountains, but the big climbs and descents can be daunting, stressful, exhausting and dangerous. Come and ride in the mountains with me. I’ll help you master the big ups and the big downs. If you’ve never been confident or you’ve lost your confidence I can help.

Please enquire about one-to-one sessions in the mountains in Mallorca at Easter and the Alps in the summer. If you are there anyway, or would like to go for a short trip, please drop me a line. I recommend at least two half-day sessions over two or more days. Two sessions are enough to understand the principles and feel confident that you’ll be practicing the right techniques. Of course it’s only with practice that you really improve, but I’ve been amazed at how quickly people feel different about going down hill after just two sessions.
I charge for coaching time while you are there. £90/half day, £170/full day. I will help you find and book accommodation and transfers if you require them. I will be staying locally and can meet you at your accommodation.
The nature of descending (and climbing) coaching is that it’s very much based on your individual needs: your starting point, your objective and your progress. I work with elite and professional racers at one end of the spectrum and, at the other end, with people who started out simply wanting to feel confident about making it to the bottom.
I regularly deliver cornering (& descending) coaching to groups. If you are interested in group coaching please contact me to discuss your requirements.
If you’re unfamiliar with an area, happier not having to do your own navigating, or not confident about dealing with occasional cycling problems, like punctures, riding with an experienced guide can leave you free to enjoy the ride.
